FULFILLING THE FEASTS OF ISRAEL - Velda Stearns - One Free Book

Readers, I’ve know Velda for over 30 years, and we’re really good friends. The subject matter in this nonfiction book is dear to her heart. She’s studied it for a long time.

Welcome, Velda. What would you like for our readers to know about you personally?
I was born on a farm, without electricity and running water, in Indian Territory at the beginning of WWII. I had a love for learning at an early age. I usually read a book after school each evening before I went to bed. I graduated from high school at the age of sixteen and college at the age of twenty. I was the first person in my family to attend college.

I taught high school for a while before I was married. In my early thirties, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Because of fatigue, I starting writing and teaching piano.

Tell us about your family.
Bob and I have four children and twelve grandchildren. All of our children are Christians. We live in north Texas.

Have you written other nonfiction books?
I have written a series of 12 supplemental books for classroom teachers.

Do you have any other books in the works right now?
I am currently writing a book entitled From Antiquity to Eternity. It starts with prophecies in Genesis and goes to prophecies in Revelation.

What kinds of hobbies and leisure activities do you enjoy?
I am an avid reader and researcher and play the piano.

Why did you write the featured book?
I wrote Fulfilling the Feasts of Israel because it reveals God’s Plan of Salvation in the Old Testament. Jewish people have been celebrating these seven years for thousands of years, unaware that Yeshua fulfilled the first four feasts and will fulfill the final three feasts when He returns to earth a second time. Christians rarely celebrate the feasts and are unaware of their significance.

What do you want the reader to take away from the book?
I want people who read my book to understand that Christ came to earth to fulfill all the laws and prophets.

Christ fulfilled the Feast of Passover when He died on the cross for our sins.
Christ fulfilled the Feast of Unleavened Bread with his burial.
Christ fulfilled the Feasts of First Firsts when he rose from the dead to live eternally.
Christ fulfilled the Feast of Weeks when He sent the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.
Christ will fulfill the Feast of Trumpets when He returns to earth a second time.
Christ will fulfill Yom Kippur when the Jewish people accept Yeshua as their Messiah.
Christ will fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles when He establishes His kingdom on earth and tabernacles with man for 1,000 years.

Where on the Internet can the readers find you?

  2. Velda, you have touched on a topic close to my heart. God set the Feasts in place for His People. I have been "grafted in" through receiving His salvation, so I AM 'His People'! God never said quit keeping the Feasts. Jesus kept the Feasts when He walked this earth as a man. We are to be like Him, so we should keep His Feasts - that, yes, parallel the life of Christ.
Now no one wants to hear this, but I stopped celebrating halloween in the 70s, xmas and easter in the 80s, and valentines in the 90s. Why? #1 because God said to - probably the hardest thing He's told me to do #2 because of their pagan origins believing Holy should not be mixed with anything unholy - it does not honor our Holy God. Jesus Himself said the traditions of men make void the Word of God. All of those 'holidays' we gave up are nothing but traditions of men. God never told us to keep those.
I encourage y'all to study for yourselves and to pray for God's Truth to be revealed to you in that area. I pray your hearts will be open and prepared for all God has to show you.
Blessings and Love! I look forward to reading your book, Velda :) Thank you, Lena, for posting her interview!

  4. I am very excited about this book and also to find an author who writes on this subject. Over the Easter season our pastor spoke on the Feasts of Israel that surround Easter & how they relate to Christians. It was fantastic. I would love to win and read your book. I also see your future book on Genesis to Revelation with salvation and love that one too. sharon, CA wileygreen1(at)yahoo(dot)com

  5. Caryl, I applaud you for your convictions and how you live them.

I also had God speak to me about Christmas, but it was about on the day when man chose to celebrate His Son's birth, people look to someone else for that His Son brought to earth - peace, love, joy, gifts. So we stopped using anything connected with Santa in our celebration.

And we had stopped celebrating Halloween way before that.

I did get tired of the Enemy of our Souls stealing so many things from us, and I didn't let him steal our celebrations. We celebrate Christmas and Easter, but we keep it focused on what's important to a Christian--Jesus coming to earth and living as a man, and Jesus dying for our sins and being raised from the dead.

  6. Speaking of Israel, my two sister's are there as we speak.
I can't wait for them to come home so I can hear all about their trip to the Holy Land.
