It has been a while
since I talked to you about my latest novel – A Heart’s Gift.
I’m really getting some good reviews on Amazon. I just
checked on Goodreads, and there are quite a few reviews and even more ratings
for the book. You can check them out here:
My favorite thing
that happened with the book this year was winning the RWA – FHL Reader’s Choice
Award for long historical. It was a big surprise and a blessing to me.
Here’s the back cover
copy for the book:
Because of an earlier betrayal, Franklin vows never to open his heart to
another woman. But he desires an heir. When Lorinda is finally out from under
the control of men who made all the decisions in her life, she promises herself
she will never allow a man to control her again. But how can she provide for
her infant son? A marriage of convenience seems like the perfect arrangement until two people
from Franklin 's
past endanger Lorinda. How can he save her? And how will this affect the way they
feel about each other?
To celebrate the book, I’m going to give away the winner’s
choice of a print book or an ebook.

Diana, thanks for dropping by. Crystal Barnes here in Texas designed my cover. She did a really good job of illustrating the story on it.
ReplyDeleteJanet, so good to see you here today. I agree that it would make a wonderful addition to your church library.

I would like to see if they have a marriage of convenience and how it turns out. If I am fortunate enough to win, I would like a paperback book.
ReplyDeleteHi Lena. Congratulations for your award for A Heart's Gift. I always love to hear that a child with just one parent is given the chance to have another person to love and guide them. I would love to read your book and I prefer print. Thank you for sharing and continued blessings!

Melanie and Linda, it's so good to see so many familiar names and faces on this post. Blessings on each of you.
ReplyDeleteVivian, I love marriage of convenience stories, and God taught me a few things about them in this book
Connie, I really liked that aspect of the story, too. And I especially love to see a man who loves another man's son as his own. One of my daughters married one.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I think this is my favorite cover. The Rocky Mountains in the background came from a picture one of my writer friends took on her vacation in Colorado. I asked permission for my designer to use her photo, and she sent us a high resolution copy. I love friends who help you.
Hi Lena, I love the cover of your book and would love the chance to read it. Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy.
