Loved This Story
I love pirate stories and this one is intriguing and mesmerizing! I couldn't put it down! I had to see how Brian was going to get Angelina out of the clutches of the pirates! First there was the capture at sea by the pirates of the ship that Angelina was on. She was returning to her father after being in Spain, visiting her grandparents. Brian had been tasked by her father to watch over her, so he was on the same ship and fortunately, he wasn't one of those who were forced to walk the plank! The head pirate wants to make Angelina his wife so takes her back to a huge mansion near New Orleans and keeps her prisoner there until he "finishes" the house. I couldn't figure out how Brian was going to help them escape when it seemed impossible! There are many Christian themes throughout the story which are uplifting and hopeful. I loved the characters and the setting! There's just something about those pirates that makes for an interesting story! Brian was a fabulous character and I fell in love with him instantly too. He was always sacrificing and didn't mind the physical discomforts as long as he could help others. A great hero!
