Dear Readers, I'm introducing you to a dear writer friend of mine. Here is her bio:
Martha Rogers was born in Texas and lived in Dallas the first 18 years of her life. After graduating from Baylor University she moved to Houston and has been there ever since. Martha is a retired teacher at both secondary and college levels. She and her husband Rex enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and attending football, baseball, and basketball games when one of the grandchildren is playing or performing. Her four, soon to be five great-grandchildren are most important right now. Martha loves to cook and experimenting with recipes and enjoys scrapbooking when she has time and isn't on a deadline.
Martha and I became acquainted over 20 years ago. She in the Houston area and me in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. During those years, we were together at various meetings and conferences. And during those years, Martha wrote devotionals for the American Christian Fiction Writers organization. They were a highlight of the day for many of us. She wrote about writing sometimes and more often just about life in general.
Earlier this year, Martha left earth and entered her forever home. Her family gathered a collection of her devotionals, and it has recently been published.
Since she isn't here now, I couldn't interview her. But we do have a free book for one winner who leaves a comment. If you have rea any of Martha's books, please tell us.
