Readers, I’ve know
Velda for over 30 years, and we’re really good friends. The subject matter in
this nonfiction book is dear to her heart. She’s studied it for a long time.
Welcome, Velda. What
would you like for our readers to know about you personally?
I was born on a farm, without electricity and running water,
in Indian Territory at the beginning of WWII.
I had a love for learning at an early age. I usually read a book after school
each evening before I went to bed. I graduated from high school at the age of
sixteen and college at the age of twenty. I was the first person in my family
to attend college.
I taught high school for a while before I was married. In my
early thirties, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Because of fatigue, I
starting writing and teaching piano.
Tell us about your
family.
Bob and I have four children and twelve grandchildren. All
of our children are Christians. We live in north Texas .
Have you written
other nonfiction books?
I have written a series of 12 supplemental books for
classroom teachers.
Do you have any other
books in the works right now?
I am currently writing a book entitled From Antiquity to Eternity. It starts with prophecies in Genesis
and goes to prophecies in Revelation.
What kinds of hobbies
and leisure activities do you enjoy?
I am an avid reader and researcher and play the piano.
Why did you write the
featured book?
I wrote Fulfilling the Feasts of Israel
because it reveals God’s Plan of Salvation in the Old Testament. Jewish people
have been celebrating these seven years for thousands of years, unaware that
Yeshua fulfilled the first four feasts and will fulfill the final three feasts
when He returns to earth a second time. Christians rarely celebrate the feasts
and are unaware of their significance.
What do you want the
reader to take away from the book?
I want people who read my book to understand that Christ
came to earth to fulfill all the laws and prophets.
Christ fulfilled the Feast of Passover when He died on the
cross for our sins.
Christ fulfilled the Feast of Unleavened Bread with his burial.
Christ fulfilled the Feasts of First Firsts when he rose
from the dead to live eternally.
Christ fulfilled the Feast of Weeks when He sent the Holy
Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.
Christ will fulfill the Feast of Trumpets when He returns to
earth a second time.
Christ will fulfill Yom Kippur when the Jewish people accept
Yeshua as their Messiah.
Christ will fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles when He
establishes His kingdom on earth and tabernacles with man for 1,000 years.
