Rachel Hauck tagged Kristy, then Kristy tagged me--telling us to blog about six weird things about ourselves. I could write a book. How do I choose only six?
Of course to authors, some of these things aren't weird.
1. There are always people living their lives in my mind. Sometimes, I really get immersed in what they're doing.
2. Until I was a senior in high school, I was painfully shy. (Don't laugh. It's true.)
3. I hated blind dates. I had one when I was in college that was a real clunker. Then I met my husband on a blind date. We were married three months and three days later. (Don't laugh. We've been married over 42 years.
4. I didn't know that the highlands in Guatemala are cool, even in the middle of summer. I'll bet you didn't know that either. I thought that since Guatemala is in Central America and closer to the equator, the whole country would be hot in the summer.
5. I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Don't knock it until you try it. I put peanut butter on both pieces of bread, slice the banana and place the slices on one side, then squish it all together.
6. I'm going to be a great grandmother this summer. That isn't weird. I just thought you'd like to know.

I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches too. But, I have to have mayo on one piece of bread, peanut butter on the other. Yum, yum.
Ditto on the peanut butter and bananas. But mayo? Kristy, that's just wrong.

Hi Lena,
Lindi tagged me too:-) I had lots of fun reading yours. And, I just wanted to say thank you for visiting and entering our contest. Keep on playing for more chances to win. I'm still waiting to be a grandma. Wow! A great grandma!

Well, I was tagged, but I already used my "Monday Musings" today, so my tag will appear next Monday, Feb. 12th. Feel free to check out my site before then though for an author spotlight and insight into the lead character of my book which releases in January 2008.
Oh, and peanut butter and bananas? Yum! I used to love peanut butter and sugar sandwiches as a child. Not too many options back then.
Oh YUM - love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. :)
I think I'll do my six weird things here in a bit. :)
I think peanut butter and banana sandwiches are awesome! They're a fully balanced meal - carbs, protein, fruit, dairy (with a glass of milk, or course). However, my husband laughs at me because I very carefully slice the banana and then place it precisely on the bread in straight rows. And the banana has to be not too thin and not too thick! :-)
I ate these almost daily when I was pregnant with my third. After the delivery something went wacko in my body and now PB&B makes me violently sick. :-( I'm hoping one day soon, when I'm done nursing, my body will go back to normal and I can enjoy this treat again!
Hi i just came across your blog and was really interested. I'm a new author, my first book is coming into print sometime this spring. I'm writing non fiction memoirs, about my own experiences in foster care, and losing a child to adoption. after im finished with this series i am hoping to write fiction. i am a christian but my books are for the secular world. i do use themes and pieces about God, but they are like a whisper or hint.anyways, you seem to be well established so if i can keep in touch with you that would be great. i am not really knowing the business side to writing.
