WHAT'S IN YOUR CLOSET - Rhonda Gibson - Free Book

I know that this is a collaboration between mother and daughter. How did this story come about?

Stacy has always expressed an interest in writing and she really liked the idea for this story. So I asked her if she’d like to write part of it, she said yes and as you can see the editor at White Rose Publishing liked the way we wrote together.

Did you find it easy to work together on it?

We did. She would write her part, I’d read it over. I’d write my part she’d read it over. If we didn’t agree on something we would sit down together and rework the part that we felt needed to be re-written or re-plotted.

How did collaborating with this team impact you?

It gave both Stacy and I a chance to grow closer in our relationship as mother and daughter.

What is the hardest thing about writing as a team?

Finding the time to get together and go over what we’d written. Stacy has a 3 year old and she is center of both our worlds.

What are you reading right now?

The Ranger’s Apprentice book Seven, The Biggest Loser Success Secrets, and Heartland Wedding by Renee Ryan

How did you choose your characters’ names?

This book is chock full of names from our family and friends. David is an uncle, Brad is patterned after my brother, and I have a cousin who is the sheriff. Emily is the name of one of Stacy’s grade school teachers. Megan was one of my grade school friends, that I have lost contact with and Ruth is one of my favorite women in the Bible.

Would you want to work on another book together?

Sure, we have one in the works now :-)

Are you a member of American Christian Fiction Writers? If so, why?

Yes I am. I’m a writer that needs to learn, grow and develop not only my writing skills but in Christ. ACFW is the place to do all those things.

What do you want to tell us about the book?

I think this book is different because it is contemporary with a little historical mystery. Also, I’m a fan of the Titanic and she is mentioned in this book and plays a big role in the mystery of the story. If you want to read the first 20 pages of the book, go to http://www.whiterosepublishing.com/  and click on the cover of the book it will direct you to the preview pages :-)
